I may be biased since I work in the group that creates, delivers, and manages Sun's iWork program, but one of the key things about the program, briefly mentioned in the article, is the employee choice of work environment that best suits their needs and work style. If you're more comfortable with an assigned office, that's what you get, but if you want to be more flexible in choosing different locations, you can have that too. It's not an all you can eat buffet though - going flexible or working from home does mean that you choose to give up your old assigned office. I admit it's different at first - what to do with all those pictures and plaques? - but having the option to choose my location based on what I need to accomplish (both professionally and personally) is wonderful.
